The prosecutor's office received a notification about money being stolen from customers' accounts at PKO BP bank in Bolesławiec. The embezzlement was uncovered by the bank itself. The scheme lasted from June 2011 to December 2019. One of the bank's employees is allegedly responsible.
– According to the bank's findings, approximately PLN 315,000 was stolen. The notification refers to 17 unauthorized transactions. We are in contact with the bank. We will decide whether to bring charges against the woman only after gathering the evidence – prosecutor istotne.pl Sebastian Woźniak from the District Prosecutor's Office in Bolesławiec told us.
We learned unofficially that the case will involve many customers and that the amount of money taken may be higher than PLN 315,000.
The woman who committed the theft has not been arrested so far.
