The incident took place on Monday, September 14. At around 8:00 p.m., two men, aged 24 and 33, entered a store on Lubańska Street. The attackers subdued the woman working there and stole money, cigarettes and alcohol. The losses were initially estimated at approximately PLN 2,000.
The older perpetrator was caught by police two days later. During the night of September 15–16, he broke into a store on Małachowskiego Street. He was so drunk that he fell asleep near another store, where Bolesławiec police found him at around 3:00 a.m. A breath alcohol test showed 3.5‰.
The second suspect was arrested during the night of September 21–22. Both men were temporarily detained. They face up to 12 years in prison.
