The incident occurred on Saturday (September 19) after 9:00 a.m. in Kozłów. On a forest road, the 54-year-old driver of a Ford Escort lost control of the car and crashed into a tree. Five men were traveling in the vehicle. Four Ford passengers were injured in the accident. As the IstotneInformacje.pl portal learned, one of them sustained serious injuries.
All four were taken to the hospital in Bolesławiec. The driver was unharmed. When detained, he was drunk. He had one per mille of alcohol in his system.
The police are investigating the causes of the incident. According to preliminary findings, the driver failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions.
The person responsible for the accident may face up to 4.5 years in prison.
