The section of the red trail from the junction below Petrova bouda to the Karkonosze Pass has been opened. This will significantly facilitate hiking along the Karkonosze Mountains.
Trails closed for nature conservation in Karkonosze National Park are planned to reopen from June 11. Border trails, including, for example, the blue trail from Okraj to Skalny Stół, are currently closed until June 12 due to regulations concerning the closure of the borders.

Which trails in KPN are closed?
- the green trail from the Pod Łabskim Szczytem mountain hut through Śnieżne Kotły to the junction below Wielki Szyszak
- the blue trail to Śnieżka (Jubilee Road)
- the green trail from Polana to the red trail in the Słonecznik area
- the border trail on the following sections: from Mokra Pass in the Szrenica area to the yellow trail in the Śnieżne Kotły area, from the pass below Śmielec to the black trail (Petrówka), and the section from Jubilee Road to Okraj Pass.
Can you enter Śnieżka?

Since May 16, it has been possible to reach the summit of Śnieżka via the red trail, the so-called switchbacks. Since May 30, it has been possible to reach Śnieżne Kotły via the yellow trail from the Pod Łabskim Szczytem mountain hut and via the blue trail from the junction below Wielki Szyszak, and then along the red trail on the slope of Wielki Szyszak. Since June 3, it has been possible to reach Samotnia mountain hut via the blue trail through the Mały Staw Cirque.
Since June 4, it has been possible to reach Słonecznik from Spalona Strażnica via the red trail. ATTENTION! Renovation work and the replacement of wooden footbridges are being carried out on the section above the Mały Staw and Wielki Staw cirques. Please exercise caution and follow the notices along the trail (detours around sections under renovation). Since June 4, it has been possible to reach the black trail (Petrówka) from the Karkonosze Pass.
Shelters and rest areas are open, but they are not disinfected. Please follow safety rules on the trail in connection with COVID-19. TOI TOI toilets are located at Polana, by the Orlinek ticket booth, at the entrance to Chojnik, by the rest area on Droga Urszuli, and at the Kamieńczyk Gate. They are equipped with disinfectant.
