After 47 days of downtime, the Bolesławiec-based manufacturer will prepare ceramic tableware for customers in Wuhan, China. “A customer from Wuhan contacted the Cooperative to ask whether it would be possible to fulfill an order,” says Helena Smoleńska, president of Ceramika Artystyczna – Spółdzielnia Rękodzieła Artystycznego in Bolesławiec. “The order has already been received, and we will fulfill it in June.”
(The customer from China did contact the Bolesławiec company in February. At that time, however, the aforementioned city of 11 million was under quarantine because of the coronavirus epidemic.)
As H. Smoleńska emphasizes, the situation in Wuhan is now stabilizing. This is a huge opportunity for Ceramika Artystyczna – Spółdzielnia Rękodzieła Artystycznego in Bolesławiec to conquer the Chinese market, especially since the company has been fulfilling orders from Japan and South Korea for years.
“We look with great hope at the newly opening eastern markets,” adds President H. Smoleńska.
