Due to the coronavirus threat, border controls have been extended by another 30 days and will remain in effect until 12 June. The amendment to the regulation on this matter was signed by the Head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Mariusz Kamiński.

The decision concerns border controls at the internal border, that is, with Germany, Lithuania, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. As before, the borders may be crossed only at designated points. Controls will also continue to be carried out at seaports and airports.
