On September 2, in one of the rural localities in the Bolesławiec municipality, officers from the Road Traffic Department inspected a passenger car driven by a 37-year-old man.

The first checks in police databases revealed that the resident of Bolesławiec County did not hold a licence to drive motor vehicles.

However, this was only the beginning of the legal violations. A sobriety test showed that the 37-year-old was under the influence of alcohol. The officers also conducted a drug test, which was positive as well, confirming the presence of intoxicating substances in the driver’s body. In addition, the officers seized the car’s registration certificate due to its technical condition.

The man will now answer before the court for the offences and crime he committed. He faces up to 3 years in prison, a substantial fine and a court-imposed driving ban.
