On 8 May, we observe the International Day of Victory, commemorating the end of World War II in Europe. This year marks 75 years since the end of that tragic conflict, which changed the face of the world at the time.
The MP representing the Jelenia Góra–Legnica region stresses how important it is to cultivate traditions, especially on days as important to our country as this one. The symbolic laying of flowers and paying tribute to the fallen ensures that their memory continues and will endure as long as we nurture it.
On this day, it is worth pausing for a moment, stepping away from our daily responsibilities and reflecting on how much we owe to those brave people who fought for our freedom and yours. We must remember Polish society and the Polish soldiers who risked and gave their own lives in defence of the country. We should protect the freedom we owe to them and ensure that such events never happen again. Never again war.
