The incident occurred on the night from Friday to Saturday. On the 32nd kilometre of the A4 (near Zebrzydowa), the driver of a Citroën Xsara lost control of the vehicle and hit a barrier. The car spun around and moved onto the emergency lane. Four people were injured in the collision and were taken to hospital with minor bodily injuries.
According to the police's preliminary findings, the driver probably fell asleep at the wheel.
