We are publicizing the matter at the request of our Reader. In an email to the editorial office, they wrote:
One day, a huge hole appeared in the attic. While hanging out laundry, one of the residents nearly fell one floor down. The rotten boards are dangerous. At any moment, someone could fall through anywhere else in the attic.
Fortunately, nothing happened to the woman. The building manager (that is, TBS) has still not secured the hole! […] The manager has already been called three times. Without result.
– We were waiting for the loan decision – explains Arkadiusz Piróg from the Bolesławiec Social Housing Association. – We received the decision only last week, on Friday – adds Kazimierz Łomotowski, an employee of the municipal company. – The building had not been renovated for many years. TBS has managed this property only recently. Previously, we did not have sufficient financial resources to renovate the tenement.
As we have established, roof renovation will begin in August and will last up to two months. – By then, the hole in the ceiling will be secured, and access to the attic will be prohibited until the renovation is completed. This will be inconvenient for the building's residents, but it is necessary – says Łomotowski.
This year, the tenement on Mazowiecka Street will also undergo renovation of the stairwell and replacement of the windows.

Here is a comment from a female Reader: “I wonder what the report from the building's technical inspection looks like. Did the inspector note in the report that there was a risk of the ceiling collapsing? In my homeowners' association, I had to pay for a building inspection, but that man did not come to our staircase at all; he did not look into either the basements or the attic.”
