As part of preventive measures, travelers will be asked to complete a Passenger Card. The information collected in this way will be used by sanitary services to contact passengers if a risk of infection with the virus is identified.
The cards will be distributed by train conductor teams and collected by representatives of the sanitary services. Importantly, in accordance with the recommendations of the Office of Rail Transport, they will also be handed to people who boarded an international train in Poland.
We appeal to everyone traveling on our trains on cross-border routes, for the sake of their own health and that of others on board, not to refuse to cooperate and to complete the cards provided to them. If a person infected with coronavirus who has arrived from abroad is identified, these cards will help sanitary services reach people who traveled with the ill passenger and provide them with appropriate diagnostic care and, subsequently—if necessary—medical care.
We count on passengers’ understanding of the situation and compliance with the suggestions of the train conductor teams.
Koleje Dolnośląskie S.A.
In recent days, Koleje Dolnośląskie has introduced a range of preventive measures. All rolling stock is being additionally cleaned and disinfected, and will soon be equipped with dispensers containing disinfectant, which will be available to everyone on board. In addition, protective masks are available on every train, and train staff will ask passengers with a runny nose or cough to put them on.
Additionally, to air the carriages even briefly, all doors on the trains are opened at every stop.
