The 11th International Indoor Football Tournament for Uniformed Services is behind us. The women’s team from the 11LDKPanc in Żagań took second place in the Uniformed Services Tournament, losing only to the Polish Police team on penalties.
10th Armored Cavalry Brigade:
However, the policewomen had already been defeated once by the Black Division during a tournament in Cetniewo in September 2019. It should be noted that the police team was a very demanding opponent, as representatives of the Polish Police were the 2017 World Champions of the Uniformed Services in the women’s category.
The 11LDKPanc was represented by female soldiers from the brigade in Świętoszów, comprising:
- Senior private Anita Laskowska – team captain
- Senior private Anna Korczyc – goalkeeper
- Senior private Ewa Sawicka
- Senior private Adrianna Biniecka
- Senior private Marta Kawecka
- Senior private Paulina Lisowska
- Private Klaudia Olszowska.
Although the 11LDKPanc finished second, one of the armored cavalrywomen, Private Kamila Bronisławska, became the tournament’s top scorer.
“The tournament provided the players with unforgettable emotions and a great deal of energy, as well as the feeling that they had left their hearts on the court. The matches were difficult and required preparation and fighting until the final whistle. The girls returned to their garrisons with enormous satisfaction and full of hope of winning the championship next year,” commented team captain Senior private Anita Laskowska of the 10BKPanc.
