The new director studied accounting at the Wrocław University of Economics and business law at the University of Wrocław. From 2013 to 2017, he was a doctoral student at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the Wrocław University of Economics. He has worked in various positions at the Social Insurance Institution for 16 years. For many years, he has also worked closely with ZUS headquarters in Warsaw on projects of strategic importance for the functioning of the entire Institution. He has managed and carried out numerous projects in the financial, IT and business areas at ZUS. He is also involved in academic work in the field of economics and is a member of the Polish Social Insurance Association. An experienced practitioner in management.
Since December 2018, Marcin Dąbrowski had been deputy director for revenue at the Legnica ZUS branch. From 1 July 2019, he held two positions simultaneously, serving as acting branch director and deputy director for revenue. On 1 March 2020, he was appointed director of the ZUS branch in Legnica.

The branch comprises five inspectorates, located in Bolesławiec, Głogów, Jawor, Lubin and Złotoryja, as well as three local offices in Góra, Lwówek Śląski and Polkowice.
