During the night of 23–24 February, members of the Volunteer Fire Service in Trzebień (Bolesławiec municipality) intervened in Kozłów and Nowa Wieś Kraśnicka. In both cases, the incidents involved trees brought down by Hurricane Julia. (Details on the Facebook profile of the volunteer firefighters from Trzebień.)

Let us recall that on Sunday, forecasters warned of strong winds, which in gusts were expected to reach as much as 110 km/h. And indeed, strong winds blew across our county on Sunday evening and during the night into Monday. Hurricane Julia uprooted a tree in Freedom Square in Bolesławiec. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

There were several other fallen trees in our county. OSP Gromadka:

We were dispatched to a fallen tree on the Gromadka–Wierzbowa road.

(Uniformed personnel from OSP Wierzbowa also took part in this operation).

Volunteer firefighters from Różyniec reported an operation involving a fallen tree between Kraśnik and Krzyżowa. During the night, the wind also brought down a tree in Ocice.
