Forecasters had warned of strong winds, which in gusts were expected to reach as much as 110 km/h. And indeed, strong winds blew across our county in the evening and overnight. However, it appears that Hurricane Julia caused fewer problems for the services and residents than Storm Sabina.
We have received information about several fallen trees. OSP Gromadka:
We were dispatched to deal with a fallen tree on the Gromadka–Wierzbowa road.
(Uniformed personnel from OSP Wierzbowa also took part in this operation).
Volunteer firefighters from Różyniec reported an operation involving a fallen tree between Kraśnik and Krzyżowa.
Overnight, the wind also brought down trees in Nowa Wieś Kraśnicka and Ocice. (In the latter case, the tree damaged the barriers).
