Pay rises for teachers from... September. More money in the reserve

The Sejm of the Republic of Poland passed the Act on special solutions serving to implement the 2020 Budget Act. PAP:

The so-called budget-related act will include two amendments proposed by the Senate.

What did the MPs agree to?

• The reserve for the educational part of the general subsidy is to be increased by PLN 50 million from the state budget’s earmarked reserve.
• Funding for awards for teachers will be increased.

PAP adds:

The MPs did not, however, agree to the Senate’s proposal that the September pay rise be paid with back pay from January. There will also be no acceleration in unfreezing the write-off for the company social benefits fund for teachers. It will be determined on the basis of the base amount from January 2018 and will amount to PLN 3,028.21.
