Due to the risk of the metal roof cladding of the upper disk of the IMGW-PIB High-Mountain Meteorological Observatory building on Śnieżka being torn off, amid persistently strong winds and the threat of a storm in the coming days, access to the summit of Śnieżka has been closed from 17 February 2020 until further notice.

The following sections of trails on Śnieżka are closed:

  • the red and black trails, the so-called zigzags
  • the red trail to the summit of Śnieżka, running along Czarny Grzbiet from the junction with the blue trail (Jubilee Road).
