Złotoryja police officers were informed by witnesses about the 43-year-old’s brutal act. According to their account, on one of the streets in the city centre, the man kicked two small dogs and then threw them onto the pavement. He stopped only when he was confronted, but then left the scene. The witnesses cared for the puppies until the police officers and a veterinary surgeon arrived. Unfortunately, it turned out that one puppy did not survive the injuries it had sustained. A veterinarian took care of the other one.

Based on witness statements and the evidence collected, police officers identified and then arrested the man responsible for the brutal act. The 43-year-old from Złotoryja admitted his guilt, and at the prosecutor’s request, the court ordered him to be remanded in temporary custody. He faces up to five years in prison for abusing animals with particular cruelty and killing one of them.
