At the beginning of the week, Storm Sabina passed over Bolesławiec County. Firefighters from KP PSP Bolesławiec:
This particularly dangerous hurricane caused damage in our area to
- as many as 7 residential buildings (damage to roofs and façades)
- 1 outbuilding
- 1 public-utility building
- 6 other buildings (garages, shelters, etc.).
It also damaged 28 trees, posing a threat to the safety of people in the vicinity.
In total, the storm was the “cause” of more than 40 incidents. “Fortunately, no incidents involving injury were recorded,” said the Bolesławiec firefighters. “In one case, it was necessary to evacuate a female resident from the damaged building.”
Firefighters from the Rescue and Firefighting Unit in Bolesławiec participated in the operations, along with crews from volunteer fire services throughout the county.
