The incident occurred on Saturday, February 8, in the morning. Volunteer firefighters from Nowogrodziec:
[…] an emergency call-out to a chimney soot fire in the village of Gościszów. In the first phase of the operation, only one firefighting unit was dispatched.
The firefighters added:
The roof structure did not allow for unrestricted operations, so our mechanical ladder was also called to the scene. The chimney brush was used again, along with extinguishing powder and water.
Fortunately, no one was injured. Firefighters from Bolesławiec, Nowogrodziec and Gościszów took part in the operation.
