At the end of the January session of the Bolesławiec County Council, Karol Stasik, head of the Platforma Samorządowa councillors’ group, mentioned that councillor Jadwiga Bobek had been awarded the Gold Cross of Merit last year for her many years of work for children and young people.
“Let me remind you that Jadzia has been the head of the Bolesławiec branch of the Polish Society of Friends of Children for many, many years,” Karol Stasik stressed. He then congratulated his fellow group member on behalf of all county councillors.
Jadwiga Bobek:
Last year marked 30 years since I began working for the Polish Society of Friends of Children. And I want to keep working; I hope my health will allow me to do so.
She added:
It is very important to me that I work with young people and children. You feel young then.
