Przemuś’s story
Hi! My name is Przemuś.
I was born on June 29, 2016. At 26 weeks, while still in my mother Agata Buchowska’s womb, I underwent spinal surgery (for a myelomeningocele). We spent four months in a hospital in Bytom under the care of wonderful doctors. Unfortunately, the illness left its mark. I have no feeling in my feet and cannot move them, so I have to wear orthoses, which I often need to replace. I have a neurogenic bladder and bowel. I take medication every day. I receive regular, professional rehabilitation and care from wonderful professors, a neurologist, urologist, orthopedist and others.
Orthopedic equipment is needed, because without it I will not be able to stand on my legs. I am making progress, but I still cannot stand or walk on my own. This struggle is very painful, exhausting and costs a great deal of money. Thanks to your help, I have a chance at an easier life.
