The incident occurred during Holy Mass celebrated on January 25 as part of the 20th Jubilee Meeting of People with Disabilities, held in the hall of the First General Secondary School.
Father Andrzej Jarosiewicz fainted during the sermon, halfway through the Mass. He was sitting and did not fall. He made his way to the ambulance with assistance, although he was able to walk.
“These were post-flu complications. I needed to replenish my electrolytes. It was good that the emergency medical team was on site. They ran tests on me, and everything is fine now,” Father Andrzej Jarosiewicz, rector of the Basilica of the Virgin Mary in Bolesławiec, told istotne.pl.
