The incident occurred on the night of January 20–21 in Trzebień (Bolesławiec municipality). At approximately 2:30 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a fire involving a wooden barn.
Members of OSP Trzebień:
Upon arriving at the scene, we found a very extensive fire that had engulfed the entire barn and was spreading to nearby residential and farm buildings. All residents of the residential building located on the property had evacuated before our arrival.
Additional forces and equipment were dispatched to the scene. The reason was a water-supply network failure in Trzebień, which was resolved in the morning.
The fire was extinguished. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Firefighters from Bolesławiec, Trzebień, Brzeźnik and Ocice participated in the operation, which lasted approximately 2.5 hours, along with a water tanker from the Rescue and Firefighting Unit in Szprotawa, a police patrol and an emergency power-service crew.
