Archive of the Solidarity Movement of Western Pomerania is a nationwide project aimed at students exceptionally talented in contemporary history and modern information technologies. The project involved their preparation of a publication devoted to the history of “Solidarity”.
The project aimed to raise participants’ awareness of issues related to contemporary history and save a dispersed archival collection from destruction.
During the project, the students collected source materials, prepared them and subjected them to digitization. Young people from across Poland took part in the project, including the following students from Bolesławiec: Iza Biryłko, Iza Kalenik, Katarzyna Marusiak, Magda Wilk, Kacper Gajda, Szymon Biegała and Jan Krzywdziński.
Young participants from across Poland worked on the project with extraordinary dedication, and the final result of their work is the source publication “Archive of the Solidarity Movement of Western Pomerania”.
On 30 December 2019, a presentation of the book “Archive of the Solidarity Movement of Western Pomerania” was held in Szczecin.
