“The Iron Bridge” is a dramatic story about three characters entangled in a romantic relationship. Kacper (Bartłomiej Topa), who works as a mine foreman, is having an affair with the wife of his friend Oskar (Łukasz Simlat), who is also a miner. To be able to meet his lover Magda (Julia Kijowska), Kacper sends Oskar to work in remote and dangerous sections of the mine. During one of their subsequent trysts in the mine, a rockburst occurs, and Oskar is cut off in a collapsed tunnel. The lovers throw themselves into the rescue operation, while also having to deal with guilt and the awareness that they indirectly contributed to the tragedy of the buried husband and friend.
