This is no joke. In Katowice, rare names such as Merida, Sofija, Malina, Alp, Horyw, Wiliam and Wiedzimin were registered in 2019. However, as it turned out, there is no complete freedom—and perhaps fortunately so. The head of the Katowice Registry Office refused to approve “names” such as: Joint, Koka, Pipa, Nutella, Rambo, Nirvana and Batman.
