At kilometre 52 of the A18 road, near the Świętoszów exit, 1.5 tonnes of granules used to produce polystyrene spilled from a truck onto the lane towards Wrocław. There is no risk of environmental contamination. Firefighters are trying to sweep the granules off the road. The A18 towards Wrocław is blocked; traffic is moving alternately along the other lane.
The granules spilled because the cardboard container in which they were being transported split open. It was probably damaged during loading.
