This year’s Christmas Eve celebration took place on 15 December 2019. Gromadka Municipality Head Dariusz Pawliszczy and director of the Municipal Culture Centre and Library Bożena Kuchmacz—together with invited guests from Bolesławiec County and the partner municipality of Rosenbach in Germany—wished residents a happy Christmas and New Year.
The group then listened to carols performed in Polish, Ukrainian, Serbo-Croatian and German by children, young people, folk ensembles and guests who had come to the gathering.
Traditional Christmas Eve dishes were served at the tables and were very tasty.
Sharing a Christmas Eve supper brings the local community together and preserves the tradition of celebrating Christmas.
