For the wafer-sharing gathering held shortly before Christmas, the women belonging to associations operating throughout the county invited their families, friends, local-government authorities and representatives of numerous institutions supporting the associations’ work. These associations are bastions of tradition.
The tables were laden with dishes prepared—as one would expect—according to traditional recipes combining flavors brought by post-war returnees from many parts of the world.
This year, the gathering was hosted by the women of the Rural Housewives’ Association in Kraśnik Dolny.
