Seven Ukrainian citizens were detained by Border Guard officers on December 2. Six men aged 20–29 were working at construction sites in Bolesławiec and Chwalimierz, while the seventh—a 29-year-old—was detained at a transport company in Wrocław.
Border guards:
None of the detained Ukrainian citizens had documents authorizing them to work in Poland.
The foreigners will now have to leave Poland.
Officers are also conducting proceedings against the employers who, by employing foreign nationals, violated the provisions of the Act on the Promotion of Employment and Labour Market Institutions. The entrepreneurs face a fine of no less than PLN 3,000.
