Officers from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wrocław have already carried out a series of various procedural and non-procedural activities related to violations of the law during the march held in Wrocław on 11 November.
KMP Wrocław:
Let us recall that the march began at around 7 p.m. in the area of Dubois Street in Wrocław. According to plan, the participants were to walk through the city streets, ending the gathering at Solidarności Square.
Unfortunately, some of them failed to comply with the applicable laws. Anti-Semitic slogans were shouted, and pyrotechnic materials were set off and then thrown at police officers and other people.
As a result, following earlier warnings, the gathering was dissolved when the participants were just beyond the intersection with Pomorska Street.
The officers add:
Unfortunately, its participants continued to behave aggressively, throwing various objects at police officers and bystanders. These included pyrotechnic materials, stones and bottles.
The officers called on people to behave lawfully several times, but some of them still failed to follow the orders. Because of the threat to life, health and property, effective measures were taken to restore the disturbed legal order. As a result, a total of 14 people suspected of failing to comply with the applicable regulations were detained that day.
The procedural activities carried out by officers from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wrocław together with prosecutors provided grounds for charges to be brought against twelve men aged between 18 and 64.
They will face charges including active participation in a gathering despite knowing that its participants were jointly carrying out a violent attack against people or property. Some will also face charges of insulting officers and making unlawful threats, while one will be charged with actively assaulting a police officer.
Immediately after the march, two 17-year-old women were also detained. They will face charges of insulting officers who intervened.
In the following days, officers identified and detained the parents of a four-year-old boy who had actively participated in the gathering despite its dissolution. The man was also holding his son in his arms, disregarding the danger caused by his conduct. Both were charged with active participation in a gathering, while the irresponsible father will additionally face charges of exposing a child under his care to the danger of loss of life or serious injury.
Police:
After the necessary procedural activities were completed, all these people were immediately released.
The officers add:
By decision of the Municipal Police Commander in Wrocław, a special group of officers was established, consisting of the most experienced police officers from criminal and investigative units. As part of this group, officers from the municipal headquarters cooperate with police officers from the regional headquarters and other organizational units in Lower Silesia.
These officers are identifying people who violated the law during the march. A detailed analysis of the evidence in the case, including recordings from city surveillance cameras and cameras available to the Police, enabled the officers in the group to identify images of another 10 people suspected of unlawful conduct.
The police are asking for help in identifying them. Contact by telephone at 71 340 43 06 or 71 340 43 95 or by email at: dyzurny@wroclaw.wr.policja.gov.pl.
