U.S. Ambassador to Poland Georgette Mosbacher informed Polish President Andrzej Duda that Poland had been accepted into the Visa Waiver Program. The head of state said:
Visa-free travel to the United States for up to 90 days for tourism and business purposes will be possible from November 11 this year, just a few days from now.
President A. Duda added:
I would like to sincerely thank President Donald Trump, who promised me a year ago that Poland would certainly be accepted into the Visa Waiver Program before the end of his first term. I would like to thank the Ambassador very much for her commitment and for taking this matter very seriously, but I would also like to thank all my fellow citizens who became involved in this matter.
