We received a statement from Koleje Dolnośląskie concerning delays to the carrier’s trains:

According to information we received from PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A., the cause of the delays we have been dealing with for two days is a failure of the automatic line block system. At the same time, we would like to point out that these explanations were provided following an intervention by Koleje Dolnośląskie, as PKP PLK S.A. did not send us any formal notification of the failure or its anticipated impact on train traffic.

The infrastructure manager is currently carrying out repair work. Unfortunately, PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. has so far been unable to fix the fault and restore normal traffic. As a result, it was decided that today three Koleje Dolnośląskie trains will be routed onto the freight track and will run BYPASSING Wrocław Brochów station.

Which services are affected by the changes?

  • KD 67857 on the Jelcz-Laskowice–Krotoszyn route, departing from the following stations:
    • Jelcz-Laskowice 12:33
    • Wrocław Brochów 13:08
    • Wrocław Główny 13:15
  • KD 69279 on the Jelcz-Laskowice–Jelenia Góra route, departing from the following stations:
    • Jelcz-Laskowice 13:29
    • Wrocław Brochów 13:53
    • Wrocław Główny 13:59
  • KD 69706 on the Wrocław Główny–Jelcz-Laskowice route, departing from the following stations:
    • Wrocław Główny 14:01
    • Wrocław Brochów 14:07, arrival at Jelcz-Laskowice station – 14:31.

KD press office adds:

We also regret to inform you that, for reasons beyond our control, no replacement transport will be provided; passengers are asked to use public transport.

In addition, despite travelling through the freight section of Wrocław Brochów station, these three trains are expected to be delayed by approximately 30 minutes. We sincerely apologise to our passengers for this undeniable inconvenience and hope that PKP PLK S.A. will soon remove the fault and train traffic will return to normal.
