Officers from the Economic Crime Unit of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, together with officers from the Customs and Tax Control Division in Zgorzelec, once again carried out operations in Bolesławiec aimed at combating illegal gambling.
The result? They shut down an arcade. Three illegal gambling machines were seized and handed over to tax control officers. (The latter will conduct further proceedings in the case.) The seized machines are worth approximately PLN 36,000.
Police:
The machines seized contained games of chance operated for commercial purposes, for which a concession required to run a casino is necessary.

Under the Fiscal Penal Code, organizing gambling games in violation of the law is punishable by up to three years in prison.
