On Wednesday, June 17, police officers detained the same moped rider twice. The first incident occurred at around 7:00 p.m. in Iwiny. At the time of his detention, the 29-year-old was completely drunk. He had more than 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his system.
After completing the necessary procedures, the officers released the man to go home. One of the detained man’s family members was supposed to take care of the moped.
Less than an hour later, the 29-year-old was back on the road. He was driving across the entire width of the street, which attracted the attention of the commander of the police station in Kruszyn and the head of Warta Bolesławiecka commune.
This time, the man was taken into police custody. He faces up to two years in prison.
