During a night shift on Jaworzyńska Street in Legnica, officers from the Legnica traffic police stopped a Ford for a roadside check.
During the inspection, the officers noticed the smell of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
The officers searched the car and found a resealable bag containing dried plant material and electronic scales hidden in a backpack. (Tests confirmed that it was marijuana. The seized substance could have yielded more than 60 retail portions of the drug).
The 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen was detained and charged with possessing narcotic drugs and preparing them for distribution.
The foreign national could now face up to three years in prison.
