The bridge on Mostowa Street must be renovated, so obtaining such substantial funding from the Local Government Roads Fund is very good news. The renovation will cost PLN 2,900,000, and the county received PLN 2,320,000. The remaining costs will be covered by the County and the City of Bolesławiec from their own budgets.
Another piece of news is that the bridge renovation will involve, among other things, dismantling parts of the deck, renovating the supports, and providing anti-corrosion protection for the structural elements of the spans. This means that the bridge will be closed to traffic. We do not yet know when the renovation will begin, but the money is already available, and the county will promptly announce a tender to select the renovation contractor.
