In Saturday’s fourth-round regional league match, table leaders Leśnik Osiecznica travelled to face BKS, who, following relegation from the fourth division, still cannot break through and claim a full haul of points. In their three previous matches, the team from Spółdzielcza had drawn, while the visitors, after promotion from A-class, had won all their games. Despite the visible defensive absences in the BKS squad, fans at Spółdzielcza hoped the derby would mark a breakthrough, but it was the visiting team that began attacking more boldly from the start.
Leśnik were looking for revenge for the heavy defeats they had suffered against BKS several years ago. On several occasions, goalkeeper Jakub Walczak saved the hosts before they conceded. BKS responded with a dangerous shot from Marek Majka, but Cezary Purta managed to deflect the ball for a corner. In the closing stages of the first half, the Bolesławiec side had their chances but could not finish their opportunities in front of goal, while the visitors put the ball in the net from an offside position.
The second half began brilliantly for Leśnik. In the 47th minute, Dawid Kałużyński, unleashed a powerful shot at the BKS goal and the visitors took the lead, which they retained until the final whistle. BKS also had its chances but could not make any of them count. The derby ended with a Leśnik victory, to the delight of the group of supporters from Osiecznica, who supported their club with loud chanting throughout the match.
