On August 28, at around 2:00 a.m., an accident occurred in Poświętne (Osiecznica commune). Two young men were riding a moped. At one point, the vehicle overturned. The 18-year-old moped passenger, who was not wearing a helmet, was injured in the incident.
His injuries proved serious enough for him to be flown by the Polish Medical Air Rescue helicopter to a hospital in Wrocław. Meanwhile, the 21-year-old driver was tested for alcohol, and the test showed 0.4 per mille. The 21-year-old was arrested by the police.
