The man allegedly entered one of the supermarkets in Lubań, took a knife from the meat counter and ran between the aisles with it. He also allegedly threatened the store’s customers.

On 23 August 2019, the municipal guard duty officer received a report about a man causing a disturbance in one of the supermarkets in Lubań who was holding a knife in his hand. The duty officer immediately dispatched an intervention patrol to the scene. During the intervention, after repeatedly attempting to knock the knife from the man’s hand and previously ordering him to throw away the dangerous object, the man lunged at the municipal guards while holding a knife approximately 30 cm long. The municipal guards used a Taser-type electric stun gun against the attacker, successfully subduing him. Officers from the Lubań District Police Headquarters are currently carrying out activities at the scene.
