The match began promisingly. The first set was very close and evenly contested. Ultimately, Paweł Chudoba had to acknowledge the superiority of the player from Gdańsk, losing 2–3. The next game saw a poor performance from another TOP Bolesławiec player. Piotr Chudoba lost the second set 0–3. The following set ended with Tomasz Racławski losing 1–3.
It was only during the doubles game that the fans gathered in the sports hall on Komuny Paryskiej Street experienced extreme emotions. TOP’s players began to gain an advantage from the start of the fourth set. At one point, they were already leading 7–0, but it was merely a glimmer of hope. Their considerable lead was unfortunately squandered. The players from Gdańsk brought the score level and ultimately defeated TOP, winning the entire match 4–0.
