The incident occurred on Thursday, August 8, in Przejęsław (Osiecznica Municipality). Before 6:00 p.m., firefighters received a report that a dog had fallen into an unsecured well approximately 3 meters deep.
A firefighter descended into the well and used a rope and an evacuation triangle to pull out the injured animal. (The officers remained in contact with a veterinarian throughout).
As soon as the dog was on the ground, it ran away.
The firefighters notified a representative of the Osiecznica Municipality authorities about the situation. The well is to be secured.
Firefighters from Bolesławiec, Osiecznica and Przejęsław took part in the operation.
