Another round of traffic checks in the centre of Jelenia Góra is behind us. On 7 August, municipal police officers paid particular attention to vehicles travelling in the city centre despite the traffic ban, as well as improper parking in a residential zone.
Municipal Police:
The measures were aimed at obliging drivers to follow the regulations and leave the centre of our city for pedestrians and tourists, as well as minimising the number of cars entering the city promenade and Old Town
Many interventions were also carried out involving drivers who had left their vehicles in prohibited places.
Municipal police officers issued 16 penalty notices and cautioned 16 drivers. The officers add:
As can be seen, regular checks in this area are producing the desired effect. Increasingly more drivers, avoiding costly consequences, are parking their vehicles in permitted places or not entering streets covered by the traffic ban.
