You do not need much to feel the blues in Bolesławiec. The Blues nad Bobrem Festival is an event with a long and rich history. On Friday, June 12, two months before the Festival, an exceptional concert—Blues Night In Bolesławiec—will take place at Galeria Concordia (Orla Street). Musicians formerly associated with such bands as Obstawa Prezydenta, Margines, Blues Beer and The Complice will perform.
“Although we live in different cities on a daily basis, we decided to organize something right here in Bolesławiec,” says Maciej Tylenda, vocalist of the popular 1990s band Blues Beer. “Nowhere else do you breathe the blues as you do here.”
Two bands will appear on stage: Rock Tower (line-up: Leszek Krawczewski “Krawiec”—drums; Andrzej Grabowski—vocals, guitar; Piotr Salwerowicz “Salwer”—guitar; Marcin Sarkowicz—bass) and Chłopcy z Ferajny—a nine-member band playing a blend of blues, funk, rock and soul. The group will perform with: Leszek Krawczewski “Krawiec”—drums; Jacek Lubiński “Orzeł”—harmonica; Piotr Salwerowicz “Salwer”—guitar; Maciej Tylenda—vocals; Dariusz Uściński “Ustik”—guitar; Jan Dudek—guitar; Rafał Wiese “Łąka”—guitar; Marcin Rudzik—bass; Lopez—keyboards.
The concert will begin at 8:00 p.m. Admission is free. IstotneInformacje.pl is the event’s media patron.
