The incident took place during the night of 2–3 August, at around 12:30 a.m., on Prusa Street in Bolesławiec.
A municipal monitoring operator noticed a damaged waste bin there. Bolesławiec Municipal Police:
The operator immediately identified the person suspected of committing the act. As it turned out, the man had kicked the street bin twice, causing it to fall off its post, and its entire [...] contents to spill onto the pavement.
The operator promptly informed the police duty officer about the entire incident. The officer sent a patrol to the scene.
Police officers detained the perpetrator. The man cleaned up the rubbish and put the bin back on its post.
