On Tuesday, July 23, we reported that a huge shopping center, probably with Castorama and McDonald’s, will be built in Bolesławiec.
The creator of the Facebook profile Bolesławiec i okolice dawniej i dziś reacted critically to the matter:
[…] the new shopping center will be built on human blood. A few years ago, a monument commemorating the victims of the KL Gross-Rosen subcamp [informowaliśmy o tym na naszych łamach wielokrotnie – przyp. istotne.pl], one of the best-known German concentration camps located precisely on this site, was removed. The monument was supposedly removed for renovation, but it has now been gone for five years, and a shopping center is now planned to be built there.
