Trei Real Estate GmbH (Trei) has expanded its land portfolio with a plot in Bolesławiec (Lower Silesian Voivodeship). The developer purchased an area of nearly 70,000 sq m, where it plans to build a retail complex.
The retail park, located on Staroszkolna Street in Bolesławiec (between AMMA and the town bypass), will be the largest Vendo Park built by Trei in Poland to date. The facility will provide more than 9,000 sq m of modern retail and service space.
The developer has already begun design work and plans to start construction in 2020. On the purchased plot, Trei will also build a facility that will house a well-known DIY retail chain; it will be the first store of this size in the city. (The visualisations suggest that it could be Castorama). A discount supermarket will also be built next to the retail park. (Possibly Biedronka).
Investor:
Vendo Parks are single-storey shopping centres equipped with large, convenient car parks. In Bolesławiec, the investor plans to create more than 700 parking spaces. Trei focuses on maximum convenience for Vendo Park tenants and customers, so to ensure quick access to the retail park in Bolesławiec, the developer will build a roundabout along national road no. 94 (the town bypass).
The visualisations suggest that McDonald’s will probably also be built there.
Trei Real Estate is not only the investor but also the manager of the Vendo Park network. The developer, which is part of the German Tengelmann Group, currently has 20 retail parks in its European portfolio.
The first Vendo Park in Poland opened in 2013 in Nysa. Since then, the company has consistently pursued its development strategy, particularly in smaller towns. Today, Trei shopping centres are located in Chełm, Milanówek, Mińsk Mazowiecki, Skierniewice, Łódź, Świdnica, Dąbrowa Górnicza, Chodzież and Bytów.
