It has happened. Nowogrodziec has a paid parking zone. As we read on the Nowogrodziec Municipality website:
Dear Residents,
We remind you that, in accordance with the project concerning the revitalization of the Market Square in Nowogrodziec, a paid parking zone has been established on Rynek Street and in the square by Kościuszki Street. Since July 1, 2019, parking in the above-mentioned area has been subject to a fee.
Parking fees are paid at parking meters according to the rates set out in Annex No. 2 to Resolution No. VI/32/19 of the Nowogrodziec Municipal Council.
These changes have been prompted by increased traffic and a shortage of parking spaces, especially during the operating hours of the Nowogrodziec Municipal Office. Enforcing vehicle turnover among those parking will significantly improve traffic flow in this area.
The office adds:
We inform you that parking for the first 30 minutes is free of charge. However, drivers must print a special ticket confirming free parking.
