TOP The ED project of the Ministry of Health aims to standardize the way patients are admitted to emergency departments according to urgency (their health condition). Patients admitted to an ED will undergo an examination (triage), after which they will be assigned an urgency category according to uniform rules throughout the country.

The patient will receive a number and a wristband in the appropriate color. Brand-new queue-management system devices will be purchased, software enabling medical triage and controlling the operation of the systems will be implemented, along with modules for generating reports and analyses. Medical staff, operators and system administrators will be trained.

The project includes purchasing new patient monitors that will automatically and continuously transmit data on the patient’s condition to medical triage cards.
